કૉનીગસ્ટાઈન

નમસ્તે!

ચાલો આજે તમને બધા ને જર્મની ના બીજા નંબર ના સૌથી મોટા અને ખંડિત એવા કિલ્લા ની મુલાકાતે લઇ જાવ. આ કિલ્લા નું નામ કૉનીગસ્ટાઈન છે નામનો મતલબ "કૉનીગ" એટલે "રાજા" અને "સ્ટાઇન" નો મતલબ "પથ્થર" એટલે "રાજા નો પથ્થર". આ મહેલ 12 મી સદી માં બનેલ છે. જયારે રાજા કલોવિસ 466-511 ની સાલ ની વચ્ચે અહીં થી પસાર થઇ રહ્યા હતા ત્યારે તેમને અહીં આવેલી નાની હિલ પર તેમને કોઈ કુંવારી સ્ત્રી દેખાણી અને એને રાજા કલોવિસ ની રાજા અલેમાની સાથે યુદ્ધ ની અને તેના પર વિજય ની  આગાહી કરી અને ખરેખર થયું એવું જ અને રાજા કલોવિસ એ રાજા અલેમાની પર જીત મેળવી અને પછી એ અહીં આવી ને જે જગ્યા પર એને આ સ્ત્રી દેખાઈ હતી ત્યાં કૉનીગસ્ટાઈન નામનો કિલ્લો બનાવ્યો. અને આ કિલ્લા ની પછી સમયાંતરે વિસ્તરણ થતું રહ્યું. જેમકે 1255 થી 1418 માં રાજા ફાલ્કેનસ્ટાઇન કરી ને આવ્યો એને આ કિલ્લા માં વૉચટાવર બનાવ્યો અને નવા રૂમ અને માળ બાંધ્યા એના પછી રાજા એપિસ્ટેઇન કરી ને આવ્યો એને અહીં માર્કેટ, કૂવો અને સ્ટાર રસોડું અને એવું બધું બનાવ્યું. 

બીજી એક માન્યતા એવી છે કે આ કિલ્લો ફ્રેન્કફર્ટ થી કોલોન વચ્ચે નો વ્યાપારી માર્ગ ને સુરક્ષિત કરવા માટે બનાવ્યો હતો અને પછી આ કિલ્લા નો ઉપયોગ જેલ તરીકે પણ થતો હતો અને અંતમાં 18મી સદી માં ફ્રાન્સ એ આ કિલ્લા પર આક્રમણ કરી ને તોડી નાખ્યો અને પછી થી આ કિલો ખંડિત કિલ્લો જ રહ્યો અને જે પછી થી પ્રવાસી માટે ખુલો કરવામાં આવ્યો. 

આ કિલ્લો અત્યારે કૉનીગસ્ટાઈન ગામનું એક મહત્વનું લેન્ડમાર્ક છે અને હવામાન ચોખ્ખું હોઈ તો અહીં ના મહેલ ના ટાવર પરથી તમને ગામ નો અને ફ્રેન્કફર્ટ ના ઉચ્ચ બિલ્ડીંગ નો સારો નજારો જોવા મળે છે. જે તમે મારા આ વિડિઓ માં જોઈ શકો છો.

Let me take you today to visit the second largest and fragmented castle in Germany. The name of the castle is Königstein. "König" meaning "King" and "Stein" means "Stone" meaning "King's Stone". The palace was built in the 12th century. While King Clovis was passing through here between the years 466-511, he saw a virgin lady on a small hill here and predicted King Clovis's battle with King Alemani and his victory over him and that is exactly what happened. And King Clovis conquered King Alemani and then came here and built a fort called Königstein at the place where he saw this woman. This fort continued to expand from time to time. As King Falkenstein came from 1255 to 1418, he built a watchtower in the castle and built new rooms and floors, then King Epstein came and built a market, a well and a star kitchen and so on.

Another belief is that the fort was built to protect the trade route between Frankfurt and Cologne and was later used as a prison, and was later demolished by France in the late 18th century. The fort remained a fragmented fort and has since been opened to the public.

The fort is now an important landmark in the village of Königstein, and if the weather is clear, you can get a good view of the village and the high-rise building of Frankfurt from the palace tower. Which you can see in this video of mine.
